Weather Link Live "bug" with rainfall ?
« on: June 20, 2019, 08:40:36 AM »
hello
on the mobile application (IOS):
section <Rain-live>

in the case where two stations are declared, the <current day> relates to the rainfall of the station "Primary" ?
why <Month> and <Yearly> totals differ from the Summary Bulletin ?
for example you device WWL :
https://www.weatherlink.com/embeddablePage/show/fdb41f484e3749c0949254537f4e2b80/summary

and my "Primary" station :

https://www.weatherlink.com/embeddablePage/show/0a337bb62ff843bfa74feb5c6febce2d/summary

or my second declared station :

https://www.weatherlink.com/embeddablePage/show/01135ba5ff5c48318a8c33304dd989c4/summary

the totals are discordant !

see the attachments for the last rain
even if today, in the mobile app, the section "Rain" has been reset 'all values = 0 = ...

have a good day
Regards  fto

UP !
why my WW Live records a day rainfall of 33.0 mm when my two stations they counted 7.4 mm ??
reminding you that this is the "primary" station, ID = "Valdefensch" and ISS-2 ID = "Meteolive" which has been shifted as [transmitting station (s)]

i contacted the support Davis with proof screnns explaining the malfunction and I receive this answer! nice welcome  ](*,)

Well, if all you did was to send in 3 pictures and with no further explanation then I'm not too surprised. All I can see from the pictures is two stations showing 7.4mm and the WLL one showing 33mm. But is the WLL the same station as the other two or a different station 1m away from the others or 100km or what?

You have to put yourself in the position of the support person who has perhaps 100 support calls to deal with that day, spending eg just 2-3 minutes on each one and with no previous information on your particular support request. If there's not enough detailed background information to understand the issue then the support staff just cannot easily help - they are not telepathic! Try to see things from their point of view.

Who is your supplying dealer - CIMA? Try to get them to help.

Sorry, but I don't usually have time to help with individual issues by email unless you are a Prodata customer. Please post your issue in the relevant forum section here & I will comment there if I have anything useful to add.

@johnd
 naturally that I explained the problem (if problem there is) and for proof I sent each time screnns with the labels of the stations, the DID concerned ... and to be regulated here is the content of my last message that got the latest laconic answer from Davis support :

""
I explain to you again the dysfunction

I have a VP2 + "Valdefensch" DID registered as station "Primary" ok!
today he fell 7.4mm rain
for this station the mobile application and my bulletin have passed the reports (day / month / year)
look at the screnn and refer to the -summary:
https://www.weatherlink.com/embeddablePage/show/0a337bb62ff843bfa74feb5c6febce2d/summary

the same for my second station (ISS-2) "Meteolive" DID
rainfall 7.4mm and the totals month / year are correct ok !!
second screnn titled "Meteolive" and the bulletin-summary too:
https://www.weatherlink.com/embeddablePage/show/01135ba5ff5c48318a8c33304dd989c4/summary

now why the WWL device in "live" mode has still recorded a totally incoherent rainfall for this day: 33.0mm ??
and the month / year totals are also skewed
for proof the last screnn and the corresponding _summary:
https://www.weatherlink.com/embeddablePage/show/fdb41f484e3749c0949254537f4e2b80/summary

confronted the reports you have all the info. in your possession including the DID devices of the devices concerned (....)
""

the two VP2 stations are located in the same place, "Valdefensch" VP2 Fars is the main one and "Meteolive" associated for comparison ...
they are on the safe side with two MeteoBridge Pro red and the WWL in lan connection ....

I can confirm that rainfall data (daily, monthly, yearly) are different in Android app (Samsung Galaxy S9 with latest firmware) when phone is connected to the same network as WLL.

BUT when I switch to my mobile data plan, rainfall is same as in my VP2 console.

This is strange bug.
