I'm wanting to use software for PWS - I have a Vantage Pro2
« on: August 29, 2014, 05:35:16 PM »
I'm wanting to use software for PWS - I have a Vantage Pro2 - I'm running Weatherlink IP and their software I'm wanting to link to PWS weather.com so I will be listed the HamWeather.

HamWeather wil work with my home automation system, so I need an ID from them.

I have a list of links for software listed in the picture I posted below, would someone please tell me what software works well ?

I use Weather Display and love it. Have it posting to PWS weather every 5 minutes. Of course Weather Display is 70$.

Cumulus is free and also posts to PWS.

Weather Display www.weather-display.com

Cumulus http://sandaysoft.com/products/cumulus
I live in an apartment and for the moment am not a home weather watcher.

I am a storm chaser.

You need a software that will connect via tcp/ip.

Cumulus is donation ware and will do that. I suggest that you download a copy and try it.

You will need the ip address of your data logger  the port number should be 22222.

You will need your PWS logon info.

If you need help ask in the Cumulus specific forum.   It is pretty simple to do.

I use Weather Display and have also used VWS. I prefer WD, but have friends that use Cumulus and others. With most you can try before you buy so you can see what suits you best.
