It's pretty cool. Except when I go to my zip code, I immediately get my station's data but the station doesn't show on the map until I zoom in one setting.

I was thinking it makes many of us look bad.

They have near realtime radar, cloud cover, and our information.

Yes, I am a bit jealous.

How did you get it embedded into your webpage like that.  I have been looking for something like that for a long time now.

It's an iFrame. This is the code:
<iframe name="main" src="http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?brand=wxmap&query=30019" height="1000" width="715" frameborder="0" scrolling="auto" border="0"></iframe>

You set the source and the size. Here's a great tutorial. http://www.samisite.com/test-csb2nf/id43.htm

The iFrame is placed in a table cell or a div in an existing web page. When you click on a menu link, the link loads in the "target="main" in this case. In my iFrames I have a default image or page load, and in this case it's the Wunder page.

Okay, thanks I was suspecting an Iframe, but did not have time to look at your source code.  Thanks I will have to code one for my site as well.

What are the advantages/disadvantages over the NWS radar?

Update time, details, etc.

Until I saw this post yesterday, I had no idea that this even existed, so I don't really know. You can send them an email and ask though. I was going to suggest a few enhancements for the map that way.

Got it on my site now as well.

I love the way you can scale it by just changing the size parameters. (highlighted in RED)

It's in an iFrame. Here is the code:
<iframe name="main" src="http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?brand=wxmap&query=22841" height="600" width="970" frameborder="0" scrolling="auto" border="0"></iframe>

Is it possible to get rid of the location and alerts banners from the bottom of the image? So far I can't find a way other then minimizing them.

I have a couple of suggestions for them.

1. When you're looking at the map, the station that's providing the weather conditions should have that green "halo" like on the other WU meso-map.

2. Because mine is only 750px wide, the maps options (Map, Sat, Terrain) is partially hidden behind the Temp, precip, clouds buttons.

3. It would be nice to either specify the size of the Current Conditions box or have it auto-size based or the size of the window.

I'm sure I could come up with a few more but overall, it's pretty slick.

How does one find the map code that they need?

I have it in a test page right now but it shows the whole WU page, not just the map portion.

ANY help would be appreciated

Use this

http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?brand=wxmap&query=Ljungbyhed

And change Ljungbyhed to the city you want to display..

Get the map set like you want it then click on "Link To" in the top left corner of the map. Choose "Raw" and then copy that line under raw.

If you display the map in a iframe, it will fill the size of the iframe (which is whatever you tell it to be).
