Wind direction graph
« on: March 12, 2009, 11:19:42 AM »
Is this by design or a bug? The wind direction indicators are displayed inside the graph rather than on the outside axis.

N S E W show on the inside of the graph rather than as a legend on the left like all of the other graphs. I posted here while waiting from a response from wunderground support.

Hm. Same with mine. Strange that would suddenly happen. Perhaps wunderground is working on making changes to the graph and haven't worked the bugs out?

Strange, mine is also showing inside the graph, in red too, not black like the other graphs.

Follow-up: It has been a week and I have not received a response from Weather Underground. I realize the graph aesthetics are not a real "issue", but are slow response times the norm when contacting them?

I have emailed them in the past and got no response, but if you raise a "ticket" on your Wunderground page, you should get a reply within 48 hours.

I opened a second ticket on this and finally got a response:

From: "Weather Underground, Inc" <support@wunderground.com>
Sent: Thursday, April 16, 2009 7:51:19 AM
Subject: [#GLX-623058]: Wind direction graph

This is by design, and probably won't be fixed.

Thank you for your support!

That is really strange. I can't think of any reason they would want to plot the graphs that way.  I think the consensus is that it looks like a bug.

Perhaps it has something to do with the way data is presented to WU? :???: Definitely strange. It is just cosmetic though.
