Wundermap weirdness
« on: August 31, 2016, 06:33:24 AM »
Changing the settings on Wundermap from Fahrenheit to Celsius also does something weird to the rainfall, changing it from Inches to some value about 60% less.  Clicking on rainfall on the Dashboard map also produces only a string of meaningless numbers. It seems that meteorological accuracy is never a priority when revamping a weather site.

Of course, as if accuracy was something imporatant :D
To be quite honest it does not surprise me given my quite extensive experience with WU as both a user and a developer...

I noticed the same thing..  the metric precip values are totally screwed up. They make no sense compared to the imperial measurements, which seem OK. The map also defaults to your home location, even if you've set up the URL for a different area.

I hate when developers "improve" a site!   ](*,)

That on its own is not a problem given they do not use the users as first testers...
