Problems with barometric pressure
« on: July 30, 2016, 11:21:14 AM »
This just started on the 27th.  My pressure is being reported via a VantageVue console and it is right on with the nearest airport.  When I click on my WS, the first pressure shows as same as console, then almost immediately it increases by ~0.40 inches.  I have done nothing to any settings.  Has anyone else noticed this?

Screen shots from 7/26 (correct pressures) and 7/27 when the jump started.

Received this from WU.

"We recently implemented a correction for pressure data. If we detect your station is sending absolute pressure, we correct it to mean sea level pressure for you.

Thanks and let me know if you have any other questions,
Kari

I replied with this and screenshots of local PWS and mine before and after their adjustment.

"The pressure I am sending is pressure adjusted for altitude.  My pressure tracks nearly identical to the local airport, the same as most of the nearby PWS reporting on WU.  Why is mine the only one being incorrectly adjusted?"

Have received no further correspondence from WU, but they are no longer adjusting my pressure.  Not sure how long this will last, but at least I got some action from WU.
