Severe weather in strange places.
WeatherHost:
Tornados in Manitoba?
Just heard about another in the UK. I know they happen there, but they are rare.
Can the apocalypse be far behind?
weathergirl:
It's not unusual for tornadoes to occur in Manitoba, or in other areas of Canada. We actually have designated "tornado alleys" here.

Speaking of weird weather. A COLD front is forecast to make it here next Monday. Can't say I have ever heard of a cold front making it to north central Florida in July
This is from the Jax weather discussion today.
.LONG TERM (SAT-TUES)...GFS SHOWING A COLD FRONT GRADUALLY SAGGING
SOUTH TOWARDS THE AREA AND MAKING IT INTO NE FL BY MONDAY AND
STALLING JUST SOUTH OF THE AREA BY TUES. UNUSUAL FOR THIS TIME OF
YEAR BUT NOT RARE AND GIVEN STRENGTH OF UPPER TROUGH ACROSS NE U.S.
IT IS VERY POSSIBLE. SHOULD SEE A CONTINUED CHANCE OF SHOWERS/STORMS
EACH DAY WITH POPS GRADUALLY DECREASING BY TUES DEPENDING ON HOW FAR
SOUTH THE FRONT GOES BEFORE STALLING. TEMPS NEAR CLIMO.
edpnjax:
Yea... but won't it be nice!!!! :D
Anthony:
I never knew that Canada had a tornado alley until I was watching the Weather Channel the other day. They showed video of a tornado that had three vortexes at the bottom of the main column.
