TX60U-IT Weather Alert Sensor connect with La Crosse View

I have an old La Crosse alerts system (GW1000-U gateway and TX60U-IT sensors with probe) that stopped working. I can't get my gateway to re register on my account and can't connect sensors.

I'm looking to get a new system and am looking at the La Crosse V42 weather station, which operates at 915 mhz. My question is will these old TX60U-IT temperature sensors with probe be able to connect to this station in passthrough mode to the app since they both operate at 915 mhz? Or are these basically paperweights now?

Additional question is if anyone knows the major differences between the V61 and V42, which are both $199 at La Crosse. From what I can gather, the V61 wind sensor also contains temperature while the rain sensor is separate. Where the V42 has the wind speed and rain sensors combined with a separate temperature sensor (honestly is what I'd prefer).

Both appear to also use Accuweather.

If the only thing that has you looking at a new La Crosse station is brand loyalty/familiarity, I'd take a look at the Ecowitt stations:

Thanks I looked into Ecowitt. One thing I don't like about Ecowitt is it doesn't store/track high/low records for various metrics like temperature, wind chill, heat index, wind speed, etc. Where Lacrosse does this all out of the box with no tinkering required.

Here is what my Ecowitt Outdoor Temperature (and Humidity) chart for 2024 (so far) looks like:


Note that it shows the Max and Min points within the round 'bubbles'. 

That is a screenshot from ecowitt.net, as seen on my browser. I don't use a dedicated display, data from the senors gets uploaded to my GW2000, which uploads it to ecowitt.net (and wunderground.com etc).

Other than initially setting up the sensors and GW2000, there isn't any 'tinkering' required other than to choose the appropriate dropdown selections on the chart to get it to display the 'Year' period instead of my normal 'Day' period. Other data points captured by ecowitt.net can be similarly displayed.
That particular sensor is in a protected area, so the reported temperature is lower than the actual "Outside" temperature. Our outdoor peaks are close to 95F currently.
