Weird data glitch

(1/1)

Monsoon Mike:
Hi, I'm new to the forum and just set up my first PWS last week, so am still working through startup issues. Basic info: Lacrosse WS-2308, Heavyweather 2.0 beta & WUHU, running on XP platform. Anyway, a couple of times I've noticed that I've lost the data connection between the transmitter and console for a breif period, but that's not my main problem. What happened next both times is that WUHU started sending an outdoor temp of 0 degrees F with a dewpoint of -67.3 on the uploads until the problem cleared, so I got bogus data on

The history files on HW only show dashes when there is no reception (as it should), and the minimum temp and dewpoint records are valid, so the problem is with WUHU. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Mike,

The problem is that HW 2.0 is writing bad data to currdat.lst.

Since you are using file monitoring mode (currdat.lst monitoring), that is a problem.

If you eliminate HW and use WUHU in direct serial mode, you might not have this problem.

Monsoon Mike:
Thanks for the tip. I'll uninstall HW when I get home and try that.

Monsoon Mike:
Thanks WUHU_software, that fixed everything! I've blown HW away and it's all working as advertised. Excellent job.

Good deal.

Let me know if you have any other problems.
