Title: Happy to see this forum

Hi guys.
I'm happy I found this forum. Remote weather monitoring is not exactly an easy topic to find a community in. Since I now know this forum exists, I'll probably be posting here quite a bit. I'm actually a communications engineer and not very knowledgeable in weather monitoring. I got involved in helping a UN project to develop an open source remote weather monitoring station for developing countries. It's quite interesting but I need to get up to speed on the weather monitoring specific parts for the design. I'm trying to keep a public development log too so that people can see the progress and follow along on the decisions that need to get made. You can find the dev log here (http://freaklabs.org/index.php/arashi.html). Anyways, I just wanted to introduce myself and say that I'm glad the remote weather monitoring forum exists :)
