GW1000 Questions
« on: September 03, 2019, 09:04:00 PM »
Just received a GW1000 and have it up and running. Is there a way to have "live view" the default screen when opening the WS View app? Currently it defaults to the WU Dashboard.

The unit I received is a GW1000B. Is that the newer unit that was just released?

The real time AQI and 24H AQI relate to what measurement. Is that based on my sensor or a nearby remote sensor? The current real time AQI doesn't match my PM2.5 sensor.

The layout on the screen is done well for viewing all the live data without a lot of scrolling. The GW1000 is a great item..

I believe the GW1000B is the 915MHz version vs. GW1000 for the 433MHz.There is no different number for the newer improved-range device.
Enjoy,Paul

Your assumptions are correct.

The B simply signifies the US 915Mhz band.
There are no obvious changes to model number or markings for the latest release of the GW-1000
It is simply improved.

I wonder what they do for the 868 MHz version? Is that a GW1000C?

Nope, I have the 868Mhz versions and they are just GW-1000.
No extra marking.

Apologies, I stand corrected. You are quite correct.

Gw-1000A = 868Mhz model
Gw-1000B = 915Mhz Model

I would be interested to know that too.  Anyone?

In this case, you should write to Lucy from Ecowitt, because at the moment the WS View application does not have such functionality.

I did email Ecowitt (Lucy) and she said that currently live view could not be set as the default screen. However, they would look into adding this to the app in the future.
