It seems that in the Health Data section of Weatherlink Live, no data or information appears.

Yep, same, the data is still there though as you can pull it down via the API.

I wonder if they even know? http://status.weatherlink.com/ doesn't show anything. And actually health data for EM stations seems to be reporting OK - looks like a WLL-specific issue. Such are the complexities of wl.com these days. Has anyone here actually reported it to support@weatherlink.com ?

Hello Paul, Thank you for reporting this. We are aware and hope to have it fixed in the next day or so.

Received this early afternoon after my reporting it on Saturday.

My WLL account is now ok, but if I switch my WL.com Pro subscription from the WLL account to my WL.com WiFiLogger account then Health Data does not appear.  It probably never has, but I hadn't checked before and this is usually on the free Basic plan.

Enjoy,
Paul

The Health tab is only available for stations using WLL or Davis Enviromonitor gateways as upload devices. So it's not there for any console-based uploads (ie where a logger connects to a console like USB, IP logger, WFL etc). Most of the data that populates the Health page is simply not available from consoles, at least not without a major rewrite of the console firmware which I can't see happening - very possibly there's not even space for a significantly extended firmware version in the console memory map.

It might be something to do with the firmware..

I've had a look at my data via API, and the firmware returns 2021-05-22

Other WLL's are on 2021-11-05

If you can't see the Health tab with WLL then best to contact Davis at support@weatherlink.com.

It could be a firmware issue. Davis say that a full power-off reboot of WLL (probably including removing one battery temporarily) should force a F/W update, but (i) I'm not convinced that this always works and (ii) I'm reluctant to suggest doing this before talking to Davis in case you lose any data or settings. (I don't think this is likely, assuming that your uploads are fully up-to-date, just erring on the side of caution.) Alternatively Davis can push an update to your device on an individual basis. AFAIK there's no other way of updating the F/W.

I tried the full power off reboot of my WLL and it did not help the issue. I just submitted an email to davis support. Will post back.

Did it update the firmware though? (Assuming that you previously had non-current F/W)

Ah yes, sorry, silly question! If you can't see the Health data then you clearly won't be able to see the F/W version. It's potentially available via the API but no easy way of accessing that as a quick one-off. But if the power cycle did update the F/W then this obviously didn't fix the Health issue. Let's see what support have to say.

I used Cumulus MX to check my firmware.

Mark Crossley's WLL for example, is on 2021-11-05
As I mentioned above, I'm on 2021-05-22.

Somebody else on the cmx forum mentioned that their WLL is on 2020-07-30.

So, it looks like their roll out procedure is poor.

I will never, ever, understand Davis' customer service.. its quite appalling!

Anyway.. I asked about a firmware upgrade being pushed to my WLL, and I get a reply telling me to do what I have already tried ..

Please unplug the device,
Open the battery door.
Wait a full 15 minutes.
Apply AC power.
Close the battery door.

It's simply not good enough.

I have never had a single positive experience with Davis customer services. They either take weeks to reply to a short email, or they don't reply at all. There's no excuses in this day & age.

I have had my WLL since xmas of this year, actually I installed it xmas day. Here is a bit more history....

Dec 26, I emailed support because i noticed a few bugs in WL when connected to WLL on wifi. The word Temperature would always show in the Records of the day, i had a question about importing my old WL data into the WLL data, etc.

Dec 28, support emailed me back stating their computers are down and can not check on things, please call support later in the week.

Due to my work hours and my time zone compared to their time zone, i was unable to call.

Dec 29, received a "How would you rate the support you received?" from Davis.

I told them it was lousy, rated it poor because they couldn't offer me any sort of support through email.

Maybe that's why on this matter i have YET to hear back from them.  ](*,)

Heard back from support.

Told me he did a remote reboot of my WLL, and to see if that corrects the no health data. If it doesn't, do a Hard Reboot. unplug AC cord, open battery door, etc. Well, the remote reboot did not fix it.

I did the hard reboot and still no health data. Does it matter if i have no batteries installed in the WLL? I have it plugged into an APC-BackUPS. It is what it is. Maybe someday i will see it.
