Seeing low 40s in the extended forecast around 10/7-9.  Not sure if ti will verify.  I'd love it if that's as low as we got all winter, but that's just a pipe dream.

It's summer again here in the northeast. 74°, dew point 73°. Very weird for the end of September (moreso the dew point than the temperature).

Bit of nippy air then for your location, Randy,  and mine. I have a strong feeling first killing frost here will be late this year.

I am located near the southern tip of Florida and the weather for September so far is hot and humid with average temperature over 80 F and average maximum temperature near 89 F.   September so far this year is only about 0.5 F cooler than July and August.  The maximum heat index most days this month are over 105 F.

NWS says our average for Valentine is September 28th. Since I've been here 4 years its landed around Oct 4th

Average first frost date is 15 October, as I recall. We are about 260 miles south of you.

As of yesterday, today was supposed to be Sunny and mid 70-ish.

As of today, it's been rainy and upper 50-ish.

How can they be that wrong?

Same up here in Ocala only low to mid 90's every day.
Fall my butt.  :-)
Whats worse is looking at long range models there is no significant cool down coming.

Illeged Snow flakes in parts of the state. have not seen photo evidence yet.

I don’t have a photo to show, but we had a few brief flurries here in north central Minnesota this afternoon.  Our overnight low was 24.6° and our high today 39°.   This was our area’s  first general frost after a spotty, light frost the night before.

No mention of Rosa from our Arizona friends so I will.
My son and his wife live in northern part of state.
I remember this happening before usually late September into October.
In 2010 a large amount of moisture moved up from south causing the mountains around Flagstaff to have a huge tornado outbreak, elevations 6800-8000' which is extremely rare for any tornadoes had 9 confirmed.

Here is the Wiki, I think was one of the most unusual weather events ever for Arizona.

I went on elk hunt in same area of tornadoes later that same year and it was amazing looking at the paths of downed trees some areas 300-400 yards wide going for 30+ miles.

Currently at 1.13" and in a lull right now. Looks like the dry slot south of me may overtake my neck of the woods so I may be pretty much done, we'll see. Certainly ain't complaining... \:D/

Well wouldn't you know it. We are expecting our first rain here since April and I have my new Atlas just sitting around.I don't want to mount it until Wednesday maybe Thursday because I'm waiting for the lightning detector, wind extension and external battery pack to be delivered on Wednesday. I don't want to put it up just to take it down two days later.

Another rainy spell headed for Oklahoma starting early next week.  Rosa isn't expected to affect Oklahoma weather but Sergio probably will.

The storm is turning north, so I may not get any rain after all. Oh well, maybe next month.

I thought we were done with the 90s, but the record high of 90 for this date is now in jeopardy as is the record high low of 72 tonight and tomorrow morning.

For Oklahoma City, Channel 9's TV weatherman maps out the expected rain in more general terms.  Much of the area from TX to the Great Lakes will have a good shot at rain this weekend.

High temperature 95 at 4 p.m. and low temperature 41 this morning at 5:45 a.m. That is a 54 degree temperature range in 24 hours. Thought this was noteworthy.

I would imagine many observers saw similar ranges in the Central Plains.

54? That's impressive. Wonder what the record is for a 24 hour period.
