Guide for python-Awips or gempak??

Hey all!

Any good resources or guides on how to use gempak or python-Awips to generate models, level 3 radar dats, etc?

I’m trying to learn one or the other just for kicks but would appreciate a good guide or two - other than the Unidata user manual, etc.
