GW1100 sudden unscheduled reboot
« on: May 19, 2022, 05:31:24 AM »
I was looking at the WView+ app at my GW1100 when it suddenly went back to the devices screen. Selected the GW1100 again and it came up but without my PM2.5 sensor also some rain data was missing. Investigated further and it has rebooted itself an 09:42 this morning no idea why! It had been up with no apparent outages for over 22 days (maybe longer) with no apparent reboots, but I will check the CMX log files to see if any are recorded. NO power issues in the house and no wifi issues either, and my GW1000 ran fine and has been up 6+ days since last scheduled reboot.

Anyone else seen this?

I know you said no power issues, but is the unit on an UPS?.
I do on occasion have very brief , undetectable (meaning lights don't blink in the house) power outages which have rebooted my unit that is not on an UPS. Only reason I know is that I can hear my UPS click (used for other devices).

Also, how good is the PSU powering the GW1100?

Of course, I also watch the runtime of my GW1100 (and I receive immediate push notification in case of a restart) ...
;-)
My GW1100 is up since 2925342 seconds (so more than 33 days) without any reboot.
The last start was initiated with firmware update from v2.1.3 to v2.1.4 on 15.04.2022 15:57.
So rocking stable so far.

No not on a UPS but only one gateway rebooted not both. I do not have auto update on f/w enabled so that should not do it. I was just puzzled as to why it might do this.

I did notice that the rain event did not survive the reboot.

Rain event reset is normal on reboot, don't like it, but is what it is. Not really that serious as it is a temporary value anyway.
