Unfortunately, WS90 Wittboy understates rainfall at short precipitation and overestimates rainfall at high intensity.
WS90 piezo - 15.3 mm
WS40 - 16.9 mm
WS90 Piezo - 0.7 mm Gain for Wittboy 0.6
WS40 0,6 mm Gain for WS40 1.022
Soft in WS90 Wittboy 1.2.3. Wittboy's 1.0 gain settings will increase rainfall for any intensity. In my opinion, achieving the same results as in the channel rain gauges is not always possible.
I had a short convection rainfall at the end of July. Back then, the WS90 Wittboy measured 0.7 mm, while the WS40 was 0.6 mm. Gain was 0.6 set. I gave the boost to 0.7, but there has been no rain for over a week.
I have no comments about the ultrasonic wind sensor. It measures the wind well and accurately against reference wind gauges. Unfortunately, its measurement range is up to 40 m / s, but a firmware update is to be released soon, which will extend the measurement range to higher values. Up to about 60 m / s. It is a pity that laminar wind speed from 0.1 m / s, 0.2 m / s is also not measured, as in the more expensive Lufft, Vaisala, etc.
