Here are my current Schedule and Timelapse settings.

Ah, no wonder it's less CPU intensive for you.. your 'Save file image quality' is set to the lowest level and encoding quality is set to 9. Mine is set to the highest level and encoding quality is set to 2. Also have it to produce a 2560 x 1440 resolution.

Yeah, the file is still way up at 4608x1728.  And in the end, all that I have left after 20 days is my YouTube video.  And they drop it to 1080.  So I didn't see the need for that high of image quality.

I originally had the image quality up higher, a bit below mid-way.  But when I dropped it to the bottom, I couldn't see any difference in the nightly video quality.  So I left it.

Out of interest, is there an automated way of uploading time lapse videos to YouTube?

There is, but Google makes it damn near impossible.

I found a commandline utility that I could have scripted.  But first, you have to apply to your highness YouTube gods and beg for approval.  Their form requesting API permission doesn't really fit our case use.  So you have to fudge the answers to fit.  After I applied, they asked for clarification, but to the questions that didn't fit our usage.  So I wasn't approved.  I could have re-applied, but I gave up for now.

Most nights I upload from my phone since I'm just sitting watching TV at night.  While I'm at it, I upload to a TikTok account too.  TikTok on the phone is much quicker.  But Congrass may put that to a stop.  (A congregation of asses BTW)  Oh well, such is life.  The part I like about TikTok and don't like about YouTube is adding in background music.  Built right into the TikTok phone app.  But YouTube restricts that to the web portal only.  Not built into the YouTube Studio app.

It's easy enough to upload a live feed to YouTube directly from IPT. Since I run my website from my NAS, I store the archive daily timelapse files on my server, for example, here's the link to March 2024: https://novawx.dscloud.me/202403.php.

Streaming to YouTube is a resource hog on IPTimelapse. I've tried it before and it just uses far too much CPU.

If I stream to YouTube, it's usually when a thunderstorm warning is issued, and I'll use OBS. That's still resource-hungry, but better than IPTimelapse.

I use RTSP.ME as my main stream, as there's no software involved on my end.

Hi! For a time-lapse of snow, consider sticking with your Logitech Pro 9000 with WD webcamcapture, bc it's reliable and familiar. If you're eyeing a Reolink for better night shots, ensure compatibility with WD's webcamcapture. Running both Logitech software and Logi Tune concurrently should work smoothly, as far as I know. For online viewing, use a windows screen recorder with audio to capture and upload your time-lapse. It sounds like a fun project, good luck with capturing those snowy scenes!
