WS-2902 Question Rainfall

On my station event rainfall is .08, but day is lower, .01. Don't understand this. Can someone enlighten me?

R.Sidetrack:
A rain "event" can be longer than one day.  Definitions may vary, but one way to do that is to look back to that last time there was 24 hours WITHOUT any rain.
