cheap, accurate digital barograph equivalent?

(1/2) > >>

Eric1:
I see this category and thought it would be the perfect place for my question: I'm looking for only a digital barograph that would function like a barograph except the barograph equivalent is the PC.  I run Ubuntu mainly, so helps if that software option is supported.  Trying to keep this as cheap as possible.  Thank you in advance.

There are scads of options like https://www.dracal.com/store/products/usb_bar20/index.php

Eric1,
This is cheaper, and very nice.

Ecowitt GW1000
https://www.amazon.com/ECOWITT-Gateway-Temperature-Humidity-Pressure/dp/B07JLRFG24/

It will upload to a number of online services at no cost. No need for software as all you'll need is a browser. Ecowitt.net, one of the services is very nice.

If you still want to run local software then you can do that too as the GW1000 will send data to the following software; Cumulus MX, Weather-Display or WeeWx (all support Linux).

Later on if you change your mind you can easily upgrade and add more sensors to create a full weather station using the GW1000 as the base main console.

(I hope you don't delete this thread.)

Interesting option, and looks almost ideal.  Now to try and find some in the US and maybe cheaper along with some user experiences.  Thanks.

Interesting and cheaper the USB barometer.  One does wonder how it would hold up over the long term.  I've been using wireless, cheap Accurite outdoor thermometers for a decade.  I get them when they're on sale for about $9 or so.  I find that they lose their wireless capability after a year or two.  I'll have to look into reviews in more depth.  Thanks.
