error could NOT open serial port on WeatherLink Mac

I have installed WeatherLink 6.0 for Mac to connect to my Davis vantage pro 2. Every time I open the app it gives me this "error could NOT open serial port". I have already installed the Driver Silicon Lambs VCP Driver installer.mpkg but it still doesn't work. Anyone experience this too?
