Topic: Regarding Station name can't be changed

I was just able to modify my station name using the edit function in the My Devices tab under my profile. Can someone else confirm that this now can be done and rename your own station?

Yes this has been possible for some time. BUT...does it show the name on the dashboard? What I understand is that old stations are grandfathered where the name shows up on the dashboard, but newer stations just assimilate the name of the city/town of their location and even though they can change the station name it does not display on their dashboard.

It did change on my dashboard and the small map on the dashboard. If you go to my station link I added "Station" to Glenwood. It has not changed on the Wundermap. Check my station link and confirm. I have been on WU for over 5 years, this may be the case, but it may be worth a try for a newer station.

Well I just changed the name of a new test station that I have. The new name changed sticks under My Devices, but it did not change what shows on the Dashboard.

Perhaps it takes a few minutes or hours to reflect the change? I'll keep an eye on it and see if the name changes.

I actually changed the name of two test sites. One is reporting and the other is not. I did both to see if it makes a difference.

Nothing so far on either. The new name is not being shown.
