Topic: Wunderground on mobile phones ---- (note for updates, "BLUE-text" in the post)

Everybody knows it's also important, how something can be used on a today extremely frequent and used mobile phone for almost everything.
So we think wunderground will be interested on this thread for mobile users.

Okay, lets go


Our mobile runs android 9 (pie) now too with september 2019 patch and with the standard google chrome browser, in the latest stable version (e.g.)  !

Dear Wunderground

Here's our first comment, ones a thank you for the latest adjustments and it fits very well in the mobil screen (Full - HD) and is very clear!
For us, the boxes are definitely clearly and more intuitive readable which is only possible through the free space in it (neither wasted inside or out) and therefore normaly needs "NO" previous data text field (CURRENT CONDITIONS) above, but with the map to the right or bottom of it, it looks okay.
Everything adapts very well to the screen size, great.
So if we want, we can now make the browser look almost like a weather station, whether in portrait / landscape, or mobile / desktop page, a plus and just fine.
Our "users" like it too, thanks for that.
Nevertheless, not only we will certainly appreciate it, if in future there would be a "wonder station" under Android.
All other, it's for us also easy to read and to work with, especially the graphs are better to read!


So now as a help a few minor malfunctions, we have seen:
1.)
On the dashboard, the altitude (value) is not in meters PARTLY SOLVED thank you, because sometimes it shows imperial value), but the unit is already.please also read  "5.)"
2.)
In the boxes, at Dewpoint, the "t" and at hPa the "a", at the end, on the phone in portrait mode (hP"a" also in "landscape") are barely / not seen, because it is far to the right (cutted off there).

3.)
The "hPa - hand" unfortunately shows something else, just not the right value, witch were right.

4.)
When looking for a "point of time" in the "precip. - graph" (which ist the middle of all graphs), the associated time is not visible on the screen then, because it is only displayed below and above all charts together (so it's outside of the screen then).
In the important landscape mode for that, it is impossible for even more charts to see the timing of a unit's detail.

Dashboard extra :
A.
!! green point for online, before thats comming it shows shortly red offline, with last updated "now" 50 years ago !!

B.
! Wundermap(s) ! shows the stations with imperial and on wundermap "over the dashboard" is not one station to see (looks like it will load, but nothing comes up) !
(SOLVED thank you) / but it continues in "imperial".

C.
"hPa" in the lower graphs, if the "left-hand indication" consists of more than 3 digits, by "1"000 or "," then the "1" is difficult or with "10"00,2 the "10" no longer visible / because out of the screen (cutted off there, in portrait and landscapemode).

D.
The letter "i" for the information to the fields / boxes worked in the first update of the new system, but now it doesn't anymore.

If you not remove your touch, you can read all you want now. (if you further touch, you can change the place of your finger a little, for a better reading)

E.
It would be helpful, if we could see tendency for some units (maybe ↑ / → / ↓ ).

F.
In the box "PRECIPITATION", under "PRECIP TOTAL", e.g. "3.05 mm", these are in "portrait mode" always something below from the box and therefore not fully visible (cutted off there).
Attention same issue, but in the "Station Summary" / "CURRENT CONDITIONS" / under "PRECIP ACCUM", in "landscape mode".

G.
The graph of wind shows for "today (09.05.2019)", we believe it should be "ENE" in "Summary":

But in some conditions of wind, we think it was wrong at the "Summary" of the actual month / day / year. For "today" it shows e.g. wrong "WSW"!
Also for the "month", it shows wrong "SOUTH" for:

We think the ! dominant ! wind direction needs to be evaluated, but sometimes it looks like as it is wrongly given (evaluated) as an average (but it's not used like that / "Average" in "Summary" should be wrong for wind) !

H.
If you display a month in the "Weather History", the associated day and month ("date"), which is only displayed below and above all graphs together, will be displayed in one place (overwritten / "in top of the other", not side by side) so you can not read them. On the whole line in "portrait mode" and only on the right side, e.g. May 31 / Jun 01, in "landscape".

I.
When you change "Graph" to "Table" (for "day"), the gray and white lines for the time and units are at the beginning of the day, e.g. "12:04 am", horizontal equal (white - white and gray to gray).
But throughout the day it slowly changes to the end of the day, over the entire "table", for example in white for the "timeline" and gray for the unit line (the lines shift vertically to each other / "time" to "units").
So it looks especially at the end "12:59 pm" as if 3 time periods / lines are too few (but it just looks like this?!).
It is so difficult and at the end of the day you can not even see in the table, which "time" belongs to which line of "units" (in portrait and landscape mode).

Affects only the own station in the "Mapbox", sometimes only the location is displayed, but not the values (e.g. the temperature).

Dashboard load faster (metric) after the corrected defective page from the 28.08.2019 (and the also improved "i")



On the "weather - forecast - page", are the following issues:
5.)
Elevation upside left, turns to meter but without the unit for.
! not really ! (SOLVED) , the "unit" should be "m", without an "t" and ".", thanks !

6.)
Below the "stations - nearby" are inserted very late (maybe we must first scroll the side to that place?!) and the units looks okay in "metric", but all of the "values" are in "imperial" and the "Cest" ("Updated" time !?) is wrong, we think. SOLVED and nice to have now touch scrolling for the values, thank you, but NOT yet on the pages "Hourly" and "10 days" and the "Stations" are unfortunately always same, late inserted !
7.)
If it's a letter like "ö" in the name of a street, for example into the nearby stations downside, is still displayed as a "space / empty".

8.)
Overall, the "forecasting - page" will be displayed in "metric - format" with a slower delay (as dashboard), "maybe" cause "imperial" was previously used.

9.)
Some place like "ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS" and "almanac" shows "cm" for "precip", but should be "mm" SOLVED thank you, but NOT yet on the pages "Hourly" and "10 days" !
Attention under "ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS", after the "redesign" and at the now correct "mm" (and maybe also "corrected 0 today / 26.09.2019"), "at the dashboard it was a correct precipitation with e.g. 1,78 mm", but it showed shortly now wrong "0,5", then "0", further "0,25" (imperial / inch? and furthermore it looks like "rate" ! ).
10.)
On the "10-day forcast", the graphline of the "low" temperature is not shown (because down / "outside of the chart"), if the diffrence of "high" is too big, we thing (maybe e.g. 30 / 19 too 26 °C / 13°C from one to the next day) and at the following days the "lows" are also all "out" (e.g. 10 / 9 / 11 °C).

Fine new designed page and also the nice touch scroll (horizontally) like the "Stations" (formerly "nearby") and also the stayable vertical "controll line" (then only too work with touch scroll horizontall) super, thank you very much.
Attention at "graph for rain" is twice "(hPa)" (same as for pressure).

Under "Stations" (formerly nearby), at all "three websites", it shows always "--" for "precip." !
Now it's sometimes in place, but for real e.g. 1,52 mm it shows 1,8 mm and also it looks like "rate"  ! (same as "9.", but both with different values for the same rain / time !)
12.)
ASTRONOMY (at the "three websites" / "today - hourly  forcast- 10 day forcast"), Length of Day shows only "h m" !

13.)The subpages of, "Pollen", "Air Quality", "Uv Index" are out of order in the Moment, maybe they rebuild now !



Special:
1A.)
Yesterday (02.06.2019) I saw no "average" in the "dashboard" for wind and checked it again today, it still not show it, below under "Summary"!
But for the day 03.06.2019 it shows again "one".
2B.)
The new "rose of wind",
is sometimes with two values of temperature in the same time inside and the "bold-line" (isn't it / or which is the "main hand"?) is often not really to see on the mobil-screen, if more "lines" of wind in near the same place !
3C.)
We think it's a thing of security (?), after you "many" times load of the wunderground page, you must new login, and otherwise you have also ads.
4D.)
The setting for "metric" is sometimes (too often) lost, shows than "imperial" oncemore and you have to reset metric again.
5E.)
The new "pages" should all be controlled oncemore, because "°", "C", "f", are often not in the right "place". Sometimes are too much "space" in between, or "no space", also in between "temperature" and the "characters", or one of the "characters" is missing.
Some characters touches "graphics", because they is'nt in the middle of it (e.g. wind), or because maybe the character size is too large.[/color]
6F.)
"No graphs" of some days for july / august is (solved), but the 12 of the august had also the same "zero graph" and now after solved july, it is further wrong here and shows now also for "daily", "no data", before it had same as with the july problems, the "daily data" !!


ALL other things looks like if they working nice, just only few example for that: "rapidfire on map (think 60 sec.)", "10-day forecast, with or without logged in and "precip rate", "historycal data", "graphs", etc. etc. etc..(no self changing of Pws names here) And all your work /evaluations for "free /a give and get for both sides", hereby once a big thank you from us for this, even if a few small things have to be solved for us and everything only for / from our already existing weather station data ! 👍.
If the above points are still corrected, everything is wonderful, with wunderground. (if we have nothing forgotten, even if it sometimes looks like that)

  Damn what are PCs or similar devices again

Last but not least, our station works always very well with you

Ps.
Otherwise, we still find important in the dashboard, a "year", as well as a separate period retrive and to download the data also. Returning the "status" for the "Pws", would also be not "unimportant".
In the last, it would be desirable if the metric - celsius temperature after the coma still receive a decimal place (it is e.g. not unimportant either, seeing a tendency before moving to the next full degree). SOLVED “a decimal after coma" thank you
For the real conclusion , a quick link to the "forecast - side" at the "menu - line" under the dashboard, would be very nice / easier and back from there too!
Thanks for the little help to newbies in the dashboard above, now "Forcast for (formerly just our city name of the Pws)". This helps everyone to find the weather forecast a little faster.

Note to Wunderground for "inch"sider , we think there must be two decimal places after the comma (especially "PRECIP RATE", otherwise there are "0" values)! SOLVED thank you
So everyone "together" (metric) maybe can help sometimes others (inch).


Shortly about the App :
Also "weather underground" now 5.10.1 from 08.07.2019 works as far as flawless {same as the previously version / widget (only a short time after "the time is up", the symbol turns "et voilà" / "timer" works at anytime), autoupdate / inside the app, stations, values ​​and everything else looks also good, only in "chance of rain" despite "mm", the values seem to be however "cm" (comma shifted ?!) and the "link" for "i" (in the right side of the station name above) then below "i" (over this station), shows again the website "Personal Weather Station Network / Join Our Network, with Step 1 to Step 4".
And no widget update "with" unlocking ("set to hourly", not helps here also). And when you look at "Dew Point", only "°" is displayed for the unit, the same when you tap on a "Pws in the map" and that value is displayed there in "imperial". / but definitely NO garbage}👍.
However, it would be nice if some things for Europe were "adapted" in a later update, thanks in advance.

It would be nice a (over 250000 Pws) !! worldwide !! weatherside like yours is multilanguage for "ALL" User. Especially not unimportant for the many users who need the weather forecast in the regions of the world and an archive (to evaluate) for better life / understanding !
(not necessarily for internal communication)

A hint only for "wunderground" to better recognize the latest updates, print the post a first time and if you print later a second time, lay it side by side, now you can very fast see the changes etc. (with just a glance, it's easier, you overlook nothing and all without digital paraphernalia) !!🤔😉

Somethings are happening in the last time, especially (the pages always are being reworked more and more, time by time).
The value for "Elev" in the "dashboard" is now meters and the "units" under "Stations" (formerly "nearby") are now "metric" (and others there, please look at e.g. "6.) or 10.)") and the pages could load faster. And a few more things. (some are right for us, others are not yet).
Nice and we will see what comes over the next time !

We think Wunderground looks interested overall into the forum everywhere and reads along, because more and more things are being solved !!

So that nothing gets lost in the hustle and bustle and nobody (especially wunderground) overlooks some of our updates, we will take care of it again.

52 is indeed the correct figure . . . but nowhere is mt and abbreviation for metre (meter).
m = metre . . . mt. = mount

thanks for the friendly "post".

I believe after my "first joy" had now to dissolve, also that the meter specification was not completely solved and should be instead of "mt.", "m". I adapted it in the "posting", thanks again.
Everything else, I think, is otherwise the same (to determine) in the "first post".

Ps.
To "mt.", luckily it is not relevant, but really very interesting what is there for global fixations and in only slightly different spelling. However, "mt." is not "100%" the abbreviation for "mount".

Obviously the correct answer is just m for metre or meter.

What's next from WU...°Fa or °Ce? Because that clearly is more descriptive /s

They don't mind giving us extra characters that they make up but won't give us the extra tenths decimals for some readings!
