I've owned but the "Vue" and the "vPro2 Plus"
The Vue I would say is not bad and probably ideal for a noob. the vPro2 is just better and has more features. this really depends on what you are prepared to spend. you CAN purchase spares for the VUE. i have seen them listed on plenty of websites, including my favourite - weatherspares.co.uk
I personally owned the VUE for about 2 years, and sold it on. its still in use and working after 5 years.
Also adding a the Meteobridge NANO SD is a great way of adding internet functionality, though this too is at a price. it connects in the the back of your Console so no logger is needed.
