Topic: Free access to HAMweather Aeris Weather API

HAMweather is allowing free access to their Aeris Weather API.  More information is available at http://www.hamweather.com/products/aeris-api/

Aeris allows the retrieval of weather information via JSON.  Up to 750 requests per account per day can be made which is enough for many personal sites.  All that is required is credit to HAMweather (http://www.hamweather.com/support/documentation/aeris/credit-policy/).

On my local site I'm using Aeris for the hourly conditions which can be seen on the first page (http://www.grantspassweather.com).  I'm also using it for the "row" forecast for each location on WeatherForYou.com.  Both of these use point data instead of zone (much more targeted).

An account is required but is free.  Once you have an account and login documentation is available at the 'Aeris API - Documentation' link.

I had an account with Hamweather a long time ago and have since moved and changed emails. I went to click the sign up and it sent me here.. http://www.hamweather.com/products/  I then clicked on http://www.hamweather.com/products/aeris-api/ But theres still no where to sign up again.

Where do you sign up to get an account, or maybe Im blind...lol

You will need a new account for Aeris.  Your old account is only good for the legacy services.

I would suggest an easier way to sign up since its free. People wont click on a link that says "Pricing" expecting something free.
