Hobby Board Leaf Wetness sensor
« on: April 26, 2014, 09:37:20 PM »
I am wondering that if I bought one of those Hobby Board Leaf Wetness sensors for the low cost they are selling them, soldered two wires and connected it to my soil moisture station, would it work ?  Anyone try it and what wire configuration.  they cost so much from Davis or anyone who sells the Davis version, buying a second one seems a bit much.

I believe that the Davis sensor has some additional conditioning circuitry on board. I expect someone else will be able to confirm this.
