Order placed on 03/07 (433mhz version). No news until today  ](*,)
I don't understand why they advertise new products through beta testers and then they never have anything in stock

Because when we are beta testing or field testing pre-production models these might highlight issues that need fixing before they go into mass production.
They allow us to share some of these products because they are keen to work with the enthusiast community.
We are fortunate that they allow this as this allows the greater community to help influence the product developments. Sometimes this process precedes products being available by only a few weeks and in some cases many many months.

I appreciate that this can be frustrating for you as end users, but please be patient as ultimately its for your benefits that products are not rushed to market!

There is a general "rule" (experiential) with Ecowitt that 868 MHz products are usually not on stock and production (including extensive testing) will only start after an order was placed.
If you are lucky and a 868 MHz model happens to be on stock, the delivery will be rather fast.
With the WS80 and the GW1000 there is an additional situation - the WS80 has received a hardware upgrade recently - as does the GW1000 - the GW1000 is no longer sold by Ecowitt, only the new GW1100 model.
I had experiences after an item ordered being shipped after a few days up to six weeks. The shipping (especially with additional COVID-19 rules in China, e.g. disinfection of goods) can take between a few days (if you either pay extra for the extra FedEx delivery or if you buy an expensive product where FedEx delivery in included) or up to another 4 weeks when sent via China post. Especially these days because of Brexit (China post ships into the EU via Belgium, UK, EU in that sequence) and new custom rules for imports from non-EU countries (including UK) into the EU.

Whichever, 433 MHz is also still accepted in the EU even though the reach is less than 868 MHz transmitters of the same transmission power.
433 MHz also seems to be more prone to interference. As 433 MHz is the usual frequency for Asia and Oceania, they may have items on stock.

[Ordered on Amazon and received in 2 days.

I've also ordered one on Amazon, it'll be here tomorrow.
But on July 24th the price for a GW1100 on Amazon was $69.99 so I ordered one from Ecowitt.

I have a ghost shipment which was theoretically already delivered (tried to deliver) twice - but not true.
The tracking information is most mysterious and weird.
On 28-Jul it was announced to the 4PX / Royal Mail delivery partner DHL, but the tracking in the DHL system is still status announcement.
There were two documented ghost deliveries which never happened (at both dates I was present all day, but nothing happened neither a note was left).
One of the claimed attempted deliveries was even time-wise not possible following the tracking data.
The ghost item, as per the tracking, traveled between UK and Germany twice (what I don't believe) - even the times make no sense.

EDIT: But this cannot be blamed on Ecowitt !
Another shipment from Ecowitt, sent about two weewks later with the same provider (4PX), arrived one week after shipping from Shenzhen without any issues.

My first order came through in about 3 weeks. Items I ordered were in stock at the time.

Was building a second order & had it almost decided on over a few day & then all of a sudden everything in my cart showed a Zero
stock.

Two items have been replenished, but would be interested to know how backorders would be handled if I did place it.
Totally aware that the Paypal transaction will take place once I submit.

I've ordered a WH57 (868Mhz) on August 25, shipped on 26, arrived Today (Italy). I'm pretty satisfied (even though I'm not entirely sure it's brand new, it looks like someone has opened it and dip-switches are not in default position, let's hope it's working properly )

Ecowitt usually test the hardware before shipping. Like this you can sometimes find some calibration values in a console or DIP switches in sensors out of their default position.

Have had a list of 1/2 a dozen Items sitting in my cart at Ecowitt for quite a few weeks now, but most are showing Zero stock.

I did send an inquiry on the site a few days back but no reply yet.

All 433MHz.

China to Europe:

I ordered a WH32-EP (868 MHz). It was in stock at that moment so I did not have to wait for stock to be replenished.
  • Ordered on Saturday August 21
  • Shipment notice on Monday August 23
  • Received package Wednesday September 1
(for other European buyers) Since VAT was added during checkout I did not have to pay import tax.

Recently, I tried to buy a WN30 sensor, but it has not been available in the 868MHz version for a few weeks. There are very little or no goods in the 868 and 915 frequencies in general. Is it a global electronics shortage or some other reason? I have no idea. I have money, no merchandise #-o. Frustrating .

I had the same problem, Henry said it would be back in stock 'soon'

Gave up in the end (after over a month) and ordered from Weatherspares. Fast delivery but cost more

I dont understand how you can back order anything on the ecowitt shop

Have you used the ecowittstore.com to look for the products you want?

As I was looking for my setup and asked about how to proceed as some component was always out of stock in their traditional site - I was finally redirected to ecowittstore.com

As I wrote in another thread
My Cmas arrived early this year   [tup] \:D/
12 days from order to delivery home. -- I'm impressed  =D>

Finnish VAT (24%) + Customs (3,5%) was added to the order.
The only thing I was surprised about was that the sender had not added the customs declarations codes to the order. So I had to find them and tell customs the content of my order...

In the past you ordered by email to Lucy and she seemed to group stuff up and coordinate a production run
