I'm not sure why you're being asked for a CAPTCHA.  I just tried it on Chrome on my laptop and never got that.  Also we've had a number of other requests come through there.  I'll report it to the developers.

I also received the CAPTCHA error when submitting feedback via FireFox. After refreshing the page and re-entering everything, the submission worked correctly.

Same problem trying on my mobile...refreshed the page but didn't feel like typing in my long critique again lol...will try again.

I was just now able to submit feedback on new site using Chrome on Windows. No prompt for Captcha but it seemed to just take it after hitting Submit. Seems like this may just be an Android OS problem. Either that or the problem has now been fixed.

Viewing on "Edge" … Looks really nice, I like it. On IE, seems to be several problems, also doesn't render well on my mobile device...certain things look to be missing. Also need tenths on the temps in the tabular view. I know its beta so these problems should be worked out.

Oh come on, IE??? Really? I don't think any new website should be developed to still support IE and its antiquated browser technologies. Adding IE support is a waste of effort as it is used by less than 2% of all web users. Adding IE support does not make financial development sense, besides it would just add bloat to a new website to keep supporting IE. I'd even argue that removing legacy IE code from any website can only make the experience better for all. Microsoft has long since abandoned IE in terms of new features. IE is currently only marginally maintained with just security updates for current Windows versions and it is a minimal effort.

If websites stop supporting IE then they help make the Internet a safer place for everyone. As this would force those still hanging on to IE to have to switch to something current and more secure.

How long is it after you sign up and provide data does your station show up?

It has been so long that I don't remember how long it took. I think just about any service I've set up to upload data has been pretty much immediate....less than 24 hours. CWOP is the only one that takes days for the whole process.

The problem isn't unique to Android. I had the Captcha issue with FireFox on Windows.

Data will appear within a few minutes after it is received.  There's no waiting period once a station is added.

I noticed that even though current temp is displayed with the tenths digit, its still recording as a whole number... Don't know if that was known.

Just an FYI...tried to submit feedback using Safari on my iMac but CAPTCHA failed. Tried again with Chrome and it worked.

I'm going to look it over closely tomorrow, but first off kudos to the designers for a clean design and color palette. I love it. I wish another <ahem> weather provider would look and learn...

I added one yesterday and it's still not online.

Joe,

Just wanted to let you know I opened 2 different support requests today. The responses I got back from both support reps at Aeris were prompt, courteous, and complete. They were the kind of responses I expect to see from support staffs, but seldom do.

Please pass on kudos to your team.

Hi Steve,

I've passed it along.  Thanks so much for the kind comments.

BTW... I like the picture in your profile.  My 13 1/2 year old golden retriever passed away two weeks ago today.  They're great dogs.  This was my second golden.

Joe,

Sorry to hear about you losing your golden. Ours was a very special dog. I keep his picture in my profile to help remind me of him.

Also sorry about the loss of your friend. The page is nice and colorful. Easy to read and a good map, although I think the location buttons are a bit large.

I'm online now but not showing on the map. I did see somewhere that can take up to 48hr? Looks good though. The station markers on the map are a bit big though.

I see you have the CWOP stations already is there any reason to also enable PWS on Cumulus?

If you upload directly to PWSweather then it will be more "live" (up to 1 minute uploads) as opposed to CWOP/MADIS which only updates every 10 minutes or more.

Also a direct PWSweather station will receive SLP (if you set it for that) and a MADIS station will show Altimeter pressure.

I've created a Trello issue tracker board. This Trello board is unofficial.

Please continue to submit bugs or feedback directly to PWSweather using their website.

Any issue submitted on this forum or via the unofficial Trello board will not necessarily make it to PWSweather for consideration. The purpose of the Trello board is to have a place to see all the issues that users have hopefully also submitted directly to PWSweather. I encourage users to vote on the Trello card issues to show enthusiasm for a given feature to be fixed or added. Who knows maybe PWSweather will take notice and expedite resolve.

I know it's probably being worked on but just surprised that this was released with temps rounded to whole number...after the fiasco with WU when they did it and the grief we gave them lol.

We don't monitor the issues with Weather Underground too closely,  mostly not at all.  But we will respond to the issues you bring to our attention in a timely manner.  Everything that has been brought to our attention is already on the list of one or more developer.  Some things have already been corrected, some will be within the next couple of weeks, some things will take more time.  And we will continue to be as responsive as we have since we started almost 20 years ago which, from what we hear, is better than other sites.
