Topic: WU upgrade starting July 31 2023

I'm not sure if  everyone WU account has this across there home page but mine says " We'll be upgrading our systems from 10 am EDT on July 31, 2023 to 5 pm EDT on August 2, 2023. During this time you won't be able to sign up for a new account, log in, or manage a personal weather station. Sorry for any inconvenience..  I hope it's a good upgrade .

Ah, thanks for pointing that out! I've been getting some weird issues on WU for the past few days, with it repeatedly asking me to log again, and my weather station disappearing.

This was before the notice appeared about the upgrade, but I suspect it's all related.

Get rid of the ads on the members pages and it'll be a good start. Don't expect a great update at no charge with a multi-billion $ company now owning WU.

They should bring back the page visits counter. It was nice to know others were checking out your setup.

Update :  Well the update is over from what I see and I see absolutely no differences from the old page . The " new " thing is you have to reset your password and add a capital letter and a special character ( @#$%^& etc etc )  to your password . I see no ads once I sign in with my new password but I never had ads when using my computer before also  .

When they said "Upgrade to system", this is all I expected. If they were going to actually update and or improve the website, they probably would have made a bigger deal of it.

The update is out, it works, the war between Russia and Ukraine has ended, the US national debt is now zero, unemployment worldwide has ended, a cure for cancer has been found as well as Parkinson’s Disease—all because of the update! I'm still getting Success status on my MB so maybe not.  It's a different key anyway.

I changed my password and my Acurite Atlas is working, but the data is no longer going anywhere. Im assuming maybe they are still tinkering with it.

I got that error a couple times until I noticed it was putting a space after the address when I selected it from saved addresses.

I notice Weather Underground is down now. Maybe they are finishing up their tinkering. My data still isn't going out even though everything is setup as always.

 For your link to WU did you use a password in My Acurite to WU or did you use the " key " WU provided you ? You can check by going to your web page for your Access ( IP address )  and it will show you what you used to connect to Wu . If you used a password you need to change it to your new password on that page and on your My Acurite page under settings / share weather / Sharing to Weather Underground / EDIT . Hope that helps

 If you get a chance I would change everything to the WU key for use with your access  . I was having problems last year and ever since I changed to the key I haven't had any problems at all . It doesn't work immediately after you change and save , give it about 5 minutes to kick in .

The so-called upgrade has apparently erased all my weather history on WU which goes back to 2009.  So, check your weather history to see if it's still there.

Mine starts on their site at January 1, 2012.  I've been reporting since 2004, so they've removed older data before 2012.  Sigh.  Used to have it back to 2008 after the last 'upgrade'.
