WeeWX and Meteo-Pi-Ethernet Logger
« on: February 08, 2022, 01:19:30 PM »
Long-time fan of WeeWX.

Worked perfectly with my Meteo-Pi WiFiLogger.

I recently installed the Meteo-Pi-Ethernet Logger from the same vendor.

Because its output goes directly to several sites (WL/WU/WOW/CWOP), I'm seeking a way to continue using WeeWX to send data to WeatherCloud, AWEKAS and the other sites I fed via WeeWX

Has anyone tried it?

Could the MySQL feed be used?
Thanks

You can upload to many weather services and it works well.

WeeWX has built-in capability to upload to:

[[AWEKAS]]
[[CWOP]]
[[PWSweather]]
[[WOW]]
[[Wunderground]]

..and can be extended to a bunch of others:

    Meteo-Services
    OpenSenseMap
    openweathermap
    previmeteo
    weatherbug
    weathercloud
    wetter
    windfinder
    windguru
    windy

Thanks, gszlag.

I was able to do all that with my Meteo-Pi WiFiLogger, which fed my VP2 data via WeeWX.

I probably asked the question the wrong way - because my logger feeds directly to the internet, its data bypass WeeWX. I'm trying to find a way to get data to WeeWX.

It has a MySQL output, but I have no knowledge there...

Hi,
You will have to modify some parameters of the [Station] section of your weewx.conf  file.
If your WeeWX is configured right now for your Wifilogger,  you will have just to change the "host" line, so that the new IP address will be the one of your Meteo-Pi-Ethernet . Verify also that the "port" is 22222 and that the "type" is ethernet . See http://weewx.com/docs/usersguide.htm#[Vantage]

Finally, don't forget to stop ans restart Weewx so that these changes will be effective.

Very many thanks, bahuga. Everything fixed per your instructions.

My WeeWX setup was too modified to work properly with everything you suggested, so

Short version:

Saved weewx.conf
Uninstalled WeeWX
Installed 4.7.0
reconfigured the clean weewx.conf

Perfect! WXCloud still being awkward, but I'm very happy, thanks
