editing Lat Long on AmbientCWOP
« on: November 20, 2021, 05:47:14 PM »
The lat long when I registered on AmbientCWOP is about 50 feet away from my actual WS-2000 sensors.  I changed the lat long on the display tablet and also on Ambientweather.net Devices to be exactly where the sensors are, but will that updated lat and long get pulled into AmbientCWOP or is there a way to edit the lat long in AmbientCWOP?
I got assigned FW1949 in 2017 but only associated my weather station this morning, and it is not appearing on the findu map yet.

50 feet is not a big issue when dealing with Lat/Long precision relative to whatever datum is being used?

I don't know about Ambient but some services that receive PWS weather info will automatically move the actual point on a map away from your actual location to protect your privacy and equipment too.

Same here, deliberately show the position relative to the general area but nothing specific

I thought CWOP would have higher standards for things like position accuracy, barometer calibration, etc.
