AQI levels to trigger alarms UK?
« on: June 21, 2021, 03:25:07 PM »
Hi there,

Just been trawling through my station page on weatherlink.com and stumbled across a page for the Davis Air Quality Monitor for setting alarms.

There are separate entries for;

Current PM 1.0 μg/m3
Current PM 2.5 μg/m3
Current PM 10 μg/m3
Current AQI
NowCast AQI

I was wondering what values I should set these alarms to here in the UK?

Looking at the levels currently the sensor is reporting 7, 14, 15, 2.2 and 1.8 respectively to give an indication to where its at.

I don't live in a smoky city nor do I suffer from any allergies, am not asthmatic and do not have any critical breathing issues to be warned about but I would still like to know when the air is getting into poor quality levels.

Might also be good to know when my neighbours start a fire or light a barbecue as long as its not too sensitive to them smoking weed else the alarms would be constant!  :lol:

Thanks & kind regards,
