I suggest you abandon the getstreamhosting stream and set up a stream to wxradio.org instead .. it will SSL your stream (and doesn't expire).   See https://noaaweatherradio.org/howto.html for details and https://noaaweatherradio.org/radio-finder.php to name your new stream.

I think I got a stream going on the noaaweatherradio site now.......hope I did it right.

For now I will keep the getstreamhosting. if they do that drop thing again I will drop them

Thanks!

Cool!  Be sure to submit a change request via https://noaaweatherradio.org/addstream/addstream.html so the stream can be activated on noaaweatherradio.org .  You'll also need to do a new monitoring request if you had QRA active on the old stream.

Ok, I've ditched getstreamhosting as they've (again) auto-terminated the hosting 3 months after the last auto-termination/renewal.

There's no reason to put up with this behavior now that we have wxradio.org to host HTTPS streams (and the streams DO NOT autoexpire).

If you're still using getstreamhosting, please switch to using wxradio.org instead BEFORE your current stream(s) expire.. it will save you a lot of frustration dealing with their support.

See https://noaaweatherradio.org/howto.html for the easy way to find your new stream name and set up streaming to wxradio.org instead.

...
Moreover, during my chat with their tech support last evening I was informed that their 'Free' streaming was only for three months for testing purposes.  After that they expected to receive a renewal fee.  I didn't communicate further with the chatter, and instead I quit the session forthwith.  I was able to get my Butt streamer up and running on wxradio.org, but I needed Ken's kind assistance to jog my memory and detail me about how to change my RasPi Icecast over to wxradio.org.  Both streams are now once again available online.

Thanks for all you do, Ken!  Much appreciated.
