What does this icon mean by the rainfall?

Within the last month or two, the double arrow shown in the attached picture has shown up on my display. I did not pay much attention to it because the rain gauge seemed to be registering fine. However, now my station has stopped recording rain events all together. I took the station down but have yet to open it up to see what is wrong.  But any idea what this icon means?
I sent a support email to AcuRite 5 days ago but have yet to hear anything back.

Maybe it's showing previous records? Just a guess.

Yep.  Same symbol as rewind on a tape player.

So it is saying the 1.11" is a record?  It stays on all the time. Even when the next event was only .25"

No. I have had some 5-6" rains before during tropical storms, but I have never seen the double arrows pop up. I thought it might have something to do with the fact it stopped recording rain events but I guess not.  I can hear the buckets tipping back and forth.

I saw a acurite manual and the display showed the arrows, but it said nothing about what they are.

Its telling you to scroll forward(rainfall button) there's more info.
