Topic: Pressure reading

This might be a dumb question, but are there a way to change the display to show the pressure as say 30.14 instead of like say 1020.58? Just using the numbers as example. I've changed the mb, in, hpa settings and it will not change in the display. But now on my WU page it shows as ex: 30.14

Are you saying that in Cumulus Configuration Station Settings selecting (x)in under Pressure does not change your unit of measure as it should?  You have probably noticed the warning to "Choose carefully - if you change units later your data will be wrong"

Correct changing it under station settings does not change it. And yes I see the warning msg there. So there are no way to change it now?

I am not going to try it as I value my 5 years of data, but it should work as I have not read anywhere that it won't (otherwise why the warning notice).  If you want to start from new data then you could remove your current install, including data folder, and reinstall and start your settings to your choice.

If changing it in the Settings don't work you could try changing the cumulus.ini file (with Cumulus shut down) and edit under [Station] Pressure Units=3 (I presume Pressure Units=1 is mb as that is how mine is set and displays; Units=2 is hPa; and Units=3 is inches but I could be wrong so don't bet your data on at it, and it may be better to ask Steve at the Cumulus forum.

Ok thank you, I just started it today to see how I like it so not much data to lose, maybe few hours worth.
