weeWX and Weathercloud Extension
« on: April 01, 2019, 11:14:20 AM »
Trying to install the WeatherCloud extension for weeWX but the link to the software is currently broken (https://github.com/weewx/weewx/wiki/weathercloud).

Anyone know if there is another location to download the file from?  Had a good search around, but failed!

Link works for me.

I've been uploading to WeatherCloud for a long time and never actually use their web site. My main reason for continuing it is that unlike Wunderground it sends an alert when my station goes offline.

PJON

When I posted the comment, the link was down.  All is OK now.

With the major change in WunderGround's UI (which is still being worked on), I am now getting notifications from them that my Wx station is down/back up.

Interesting. I have set my Wunderground settings to not send me "notifications" which I understood to be, effectively, spam. I didn't see any way of differentiating between special offers and weather station related notifications which, historically, they didn't do.

What else are you getting from them? I'll have another look at this.

In the past 5 days, two notifications that my WX station was down and about 15 minutes later another telling me it was back up.  On each occasion I think it was an internet drop out at my end (I push data to WunderGround every 5 minutes).
