Title: Getting false rain alert when it's sunny?
Post by: Dennis Rogers on March 04, 2016, 08:16:41 PM
Seems when it's 27 degrees outside no dew or rain I had been getting false rain alerts.

Mind you have been playing around with adjusting the angle of my camera, so Is it that sensitive it's registering the moisture from my fingers setting off a false rain alert.

I'm having the same issue. We haven't had any rain in the last week, yet it shows Rain 24 hours a day. Also, the UV index never goes below 1, even at night although I would expect it to be 0. I sent an email to their support several days ago asking about both issues, but I never received a response back.

The UV index is totally inaccurate same as barometric pressure as you cannot change it.

This station as yet is pretty rough.

The UV index compared to my Ambient station is far from accurate and never seems to get above low.

The temps, and humidity as well as the cam are the only things that work properly.

The UV is a waste of time. Even though I had sun on it for around 2 hours still said low.

Yesterday had it in consistent sun in the afternoon and was reading high.

So if it does not have consistent sun does not work to we'll.

My temps are within the other weather stations around me.

I've seen erratic UV lo med hi on data portal, however the UV graphs on WU look like there is good data there.

The peaks are increasing every day as we head towards spring in NY.

There are some questions about how to handle the 1200 ish values when dark, but I think the data might be good.
