Finally tightened the guy wires
« on: September 08, 2013, 12:40:46 PM »
I use  250 pound test cable and ground anchors to stabilize the anemometer mast.   Over the course of the year, the cable gets stretched just a bit an it causes the thing to wobble a bit.   So having decided that needed to be done  in May, I did it today.  found that in two directions the station was not level and by pulling the mast just right was able to get the thing level. Something to think about when we start getting ready for winter weather or spring or summer,to go out and check the guy wires and if the station is level or not.

I am happy except for the tiny blister on one of my piggies  from pulling on the wire, maybe next time I will wear gloves.

no,  I have ground anchors and cables with wire ties (sounds like a personal problem, )
