Historical Forecast Data - ECMWF + GFS
« on: May 14, 2024, 09:33:51 AM »
Hi. I want to do a 365 day analysis that compares high temperature forecasts (72 hours) and actual temperatures for New York City, Austin and San Francisco. Ideally, forecasts from both ECMWF and GFS models.

I'm having no trouble finding actuals, but I am struggling to find the historical forecasts.

Take a look at https://open-meteo.com/en/docs/historical-weather-api. They have 80 years of historical ECMWF data. I believe you can find GFS historical data at https://rda.ucar.edu/datasets/ds084.1/.
