Sorry for my english. I want to install the WH2900 station, but I can't find the drivers in WeeWX. How do I install it?

Just a quick question is the newest version of Cumulus okay to update (version4.5.0)? If so (newbie question) how do I update to the latest release.

If you decide to upgrade, the latest version is 4.5.2 (build 4105). From what I have seen discussed on Cumulus forums, it does seem to be ok. If you have an indoor Davis Airlink, you might want to wait for the next build to fix a minor known error in logging of the Airlink data.

In other places in Poland, we have also seen this problem in Barani. Not only and east, but also in the afternoon and evening.

](*,) Too vague and it's always very strange that you never talk about the psychrometric effect by sublimation in the comparisons, so failing that, you should explain (to us) how your Polish colleagues analyze the snapshots with obstacles concerned for the shadows on the ground, for example, they filter the data 30 minutes after the pyrano at 2 m is touched in the morning by the sun and 30 minutes before the pyrano is no longer concerned in the evening, in order to be certain that the ground is sunny for all the shelters in the central park (and for a class 4, it's not even worth talking about it)  :-P

Hi!

The URL is wrong - that's why the 404 error.
Please use http://data.awekas.at/eingabe_pruefung.php? as FWD_URL. This looks like a problem with a translation - the examples on the FOSHKplugin support page are correct.
FWD_SID should be your username (not station number). I have now concretised this on the FOSHKplugin page (Awekas-username not the ID). Thanks for the hint.

I used brand new energizer lithium batteries and it burned through them very quickly. I had some cheap amazon basics alkaline in there for almost a year before. I did a reset on it (covering the solar panel and waiting for the capacitor to discharge) when my sensor went bad per Ambient’s support and it hasn’t behave normally since then.

I've got multiple mesonet sites around my property.  They're 15 miles away in all directions, maybe a couple of them are a little more.  ALL of them read very similarly on these hot afternoons we're having.  Within 1 degree of each other, and dewpoints/RH are all pretty much identical.  My VP2 with 24 hr FARS is right on the money with every measurement except dewpoint/RH.  I'm getting readings that are consistently 4 to 6 degrees higher with dewpoint...and this in turn is throwing my heat index and THWS index readings into the stratosphere.

I've been dealing with this for a couple years but I'm finally tired of it.  So I'm going to install a brand new SHT-31 sensor in my ISS sometime this week.  I'm hoping this will correct the issue.  I ordered a new filter cap also since it was just $3 bucks.

15 miles away is too far.

Not when you've got a half dozen sites that distance in all directions, and they all read identically on a stagnant summer day.  The airmass is dead nuts consistent across the state on days like this.

Good luck changing your SHT31 if located within the VP2 that has a 24hour fan. This task requires the technician (user) to have slept well the prior night, patience, an uninterrupted 45-60 minutes, no nagging spouse, screaming kids or barking dogs, and a good roadmap on how to reassemble. I find this roadmap useful— https://www.scaledinstruments.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/24hr_fars_Exploded_Diagram-7-20-2023.pdf

Having a Teddy Bear nearby to squeeze when things don’t go well or you think you are done only to find screws leftover, can also be useful.

Interesting.  I take my station apart every summer for cleaning of individual pieces.  Never have had an issue so far.  I'll keep this in mind, sensor should be delivered to me on Thursday.

As of right now, it's Noon EDT and showing a dewpoint of 80F.  The mesonet sites surrounding me all show 73F.  I'm hoping for better results with the new sensor.

Good luck. I had SHT31s in 4 separate ISSs last night and adjusted them to proper humidity. This morning, they were all reading high, as if I didn’t apply the offset, then about noon, the readings were acceptable. One of the 4 ISSs had a brand new SHT31 the other 3 were probably 2-3 years old. Bottom line, newest version didn’t help. To borrow a term from a former college professor, the design of the SHT31 is arguably “fundamentally flawed,” which is too bad as the rest of the Davis product is very good. A person just has to accept humidity-dewpoint readings from a SHT31 sensor are not reliable and move on with life.

Couple new SHT-31s that I’ve got did pretty well (except for 96%+ RH) but they all now have some wet biases.

I’ve noticed that the SHT 31 sensor in the WeatherFlow Tempest station performs well out of the box (if you have their Continuous Learning calibration system for RH turned off). But it does gain a wet bias in the mid range after a year of use.

Not sure if there is any other options available on the market unless you want to pay big bucks for a good humidity sensor.

What sort of batteries are you using ?

Chit-Chat / Fireflies, everywhere !
« Last post by deltaT on Yesterday at 08:02:30 PM »
Took (19-22june25) the long way home eastward-through upper  PA and we were astounded as to the number of fireflies we saw. In one large field, perhaps 100a-there were many thousands for as far as we could see; wonderful to behold.
Curious as to if others have had a similar experience this year?

If you guys are using a weather software program, you can get about a 90% solution. I think I used a 1.061x-5 correction to my outdoor humidity. It seemed to work well for the low and high end. A member here, ValentineWeather might have a recommendation too.

Good suggestion and Randy at Valentine Weather is very helpful. However, I have given up tracking humidities now. Current humidity is necessary so I look at my Davis 6313 and do a quite calculation to determine “real humidity” and call it a day. I do track rainfall on my computer in the WeatherLink 6.0.5 version and use the old console for that as the 6313 you can’t change rainfall amounts—I use my CoCo gauge as the official rain gauge at my house—as the tipper gauges aren’t very accurate. Yes, another step backward with the 6313 console—a subject covered in many threads in this Forum.
