WS80 cal button

Why does the WS80 have a CAL button ?
Is it used for calibrating ?

Adding, if like the WS90, which I am sure this is, you want to do the calibration is a static environment, NO AIR MOVEMENT, so a box or enclosure would be preferred. Just using the button in situ , or where it is placed , not recommended.

Frankly, I have needed to calibrate the WS90, and from a bunch of previous posts, I don't see anyone needing to calibrate the WS80.

Hey, curiosity is good, just don't get the impulse to use a button because it exists.

I had to calibrate the WS90 too. Additional: after each firmware update of the unit itself, I calibrate it, to know I'm sure the zero wind baseline is set correctly. In the last firmware eg. there were optimizations made for low wind speeds. Therefore used the calibration button to make sure the low wind speeds were reset and properly detected.
