Ignorant question here, but what is the purpose of the weather conditions icon on our display consoles if it isn't reflecting outdoor conditions or soon to be conditions? My WS2000 has never really shown a weather icon for what is really outside, today or tomorrow. Its a sunny bright clear sky day today, and its telling me its cloudy and rainy.
On the other hand, the WS2902C and WS1900 I have, while showing clouds, show snow -- which is a bit more accurate for what we just had up the East coast of the US. In fact, I find the WS1900 does a good job of warning me (with its blinking weather icon during large barometric shifts) of impending doom. [Despite the display being crappy, I like the layout better]
I"m sure these icons are all just related to the icons of yore etched onto barometric gauges. But on the WS2000, it knows the temp, the current solar output, and so on to at least make a better guess than cloudy with rain.
