We just got a new WiFi modem installed, obviously with a new SSID and password.  So our Ambient Weather WS-2902 no longer connects or transmits its data.  I tried to reconnect via the Ambient Tools App, with no luck.  Pressing 'Rain' and 'Alert' causes the WiFi symbol to flash, but the new 2.4G SSID doesn't show anywhere, and entering the password fails to connect - tried twice to make sure I didn't mess up.  If I reset the WS, do I lose all old data?  All data since the last update which was yesterday?  Help!  Thanks much!

In your new Wi-Fi router can you make sure that the SSID name is broadcast as its possible to have it set to non visible, which if so means it would not show on your station.
Also you may need to change the channel size to large if possible as the Fine Offset stations seem to be sensitive to channel width for 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi

As for a reset I am unsure, but I am certain Galfert will be along to provide further advice

When you factory reset you don't really lose much of any data, because the WS-2902/A does not store data. The only thing it stores are high/low records and rain totals. But you can adjust the rain totals after a reset. Don't forget to also then recalibrate the barometer after a reset.

Factory reset procedure:
https://ambientweather.net/help/how-do-i-restore-console-to-factory-default-osprey-series/

- Remove the power from the console by removing the batteries and disconnecting the AC adapter.
- Apply power by connecting the AC adapter.
- Wait for unit to fully power up.
- Press and hold the WIND/+ and PRESSURE/- buttons at the same time until the console power up sequence is complete (about 5 seconds).
- Replace the batteries.

Thanks - let me share more info about my problem.  My WS-2902 (not 'A') has not been able to connect to our newly installed WiFi modem/router, which replaced our old one.  These modems are supplied by our service provider, and we were having issues with the old one.  As such, we have no 'administrator' options for the modem/router.  It offers both 2.4G and 5G signals; I connected my iphone to the 2.4G.  We were easily able to detect both signals (1.4 and 5G) when we connected our notebook computers to WiFi.  Same as when we connected our phones.   [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]   You can see here that I have my phone connected to the 2.4G WiFi, but 5G also shows as available (not hidden).
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]   This shows the AmbientTool app, where SSID is defaulted to "Wi-Fi" and I cannot seem to change it.  I have moved the console to within 6 feet of the modem/router, but have been unable to connect using the app.

Some other tips...

- Don't use the WiFi router that the ISP gives you. Always a subpar experience. Put the modem in bridge mode and connect your own router and be sure that it is a reputable good brand/model and not a cheap one. It doesn't need to be crazy expensive either.
- Don't use a wireless network name SSID with special characters.
- Use a password key that is less than 32 characters and limit special characters to !@#$%^&*

After reaching out to Ambient Weather multiple times, they suggested I try using an android device instead of my iPhone.  I had to dig up an old Verizon ASUS TF300T tablet, find the charger, charge it, download the Ambient Tool app, and give it a try.  Finally, Success!   Guess I should NOT try the firmware update!
