Are the pixels per inch(ppi) the same?

I don't know. But if I were to guess the Acurite Atlas display looks like it has a higher ppi density. After all Acurite does call it an "HD" display. Why does this matter anyway? There must be a driving point behind this question is all I'm saying. Just curious.

Yeah I'm pretty sure now. Look at these closeups. There is no way the WS-2000 display can do this level graphics nor text.

They are both (HD) High Definition displays as described by their respective company. This could mean either 720 or 1080 verticle pixels. The AcrRite is a touchscreen, however. Both have TFT screens. The Ambient is 6.5 inches and The Atlas is 7.0 inches.

I guess it doesn't matter other than knowing the specifications and quality of the display units.

Why does it matter? Trouble is, it's the fansy colour screens sell these but use cheap plastic that becomes brittle in time and yellow and these units dont last long.

I have read that on the Atlas display, when the screen is turned off, the backlight is still on. Is it the same on the WS2000 display?
