Topic: WH1081 Weather Station and Windows ME

I have my WH1081 weather station working fine running Easyweather on my Windows 8 laptop but I want to get it running with on my old Windows ME laptop as well.  I have loaded the Easyweather software ok but the computer is not recognising the WH1081 console.

I have looked at device manager and the laptop is asking to instal a driver.  There is no driver on the Easyweather CD and a Google search has failed to locate one.

I would be grateful for any help or ideas, please.

I suspect it is a USB driver .   Try updating the USB drivers on the WIN me machine.

Thanks Beaudog.  It wasn't that but you caused me to have another look at the USB connection in Device Manager and was asking for a driver called hidclass.sys, that I didn't have on my computer.

I found the driver on the following website, downloaded and installed it, and now have Easyweather working fine on my Windows ME laptop.

Yes, it was. hidclass.sys is a USB driver, Beaudog was correct.
