Something you can try to further pin-point the problem area.
Take an old rj-11 telephone cord with one of it's ends cut off. strip back the red and green wires.
Plug the connector end into the weather stations therm/hygro instead of the wind speed sensor (anemometer).
Tap together repeatedly the red and green wires. This will simulate the reed switch activating in the anemometer when the cups are spinning.
If you get wind readings from this test then the anemometer has the problem and the rest of the weather station components are probably fine. Things in the anemometer that could be wrong are, a faulty reed switch, internal circuit board trace/solder joint, cable connection, fallen magnet.
If you still are not seeing wind speed on the console from this test then the therm/hygro sensor that you are plugged into is at fault (connector, internal circuit trace/solder joint connection, etc.).
