Title: What is the maximum archive record interval you can set on the WS2000?
Post by: 49studebaker on December 03, 2019, 03:31:20 AM
I would like to archive data every 24 hours. If I go to the archive record screen, I would like to see the totals for each day.

Dec 3 Indoor temp 78F, ...
Dec 2 Indoor temp 76F, ...
Dec 1 Indoor temp 80F, ...

The internal data logging can be set to an interval between 1 and 240 minutes (4 hours). The default is to log every 5 minutes.

What you are asking for is not the same thing as what the purpose is for the logging screen. Because the logging screen is to take an instant snapshot of that moment.

What you are asking for is a daily summary report with the high and lows for the day. The WS-2000 does not do that itself. But you can get this summary by sending the data to numerous other online services or by running other weather software. Because you are also referring to the indoor temperature then you are limited to just using ambientweather.net. It produces daily high, low, and average but only one day at a time. You could though use the API and setup a daily script to generate the report you want.

Another option is to use a GW1000 with some other software like Cumulus, Meteobridge, or Weather-Display. But you have to look at their reporting capabilities to see if they could generate the reports you want. But even if they don't generate the reports you want, they all support SQL database upload and then you can generate a custom report from that.

Lastly the least automated method is to pull the SD card routinely and dump the data into Excel and then run some formulas to generate reports there.
