Hello there,
New user here and I looked down the list a bit to try and find an answer, but didn't quite see what I am looking for.

I'm a meteorologist and storm spotter that helps the NWS when it comes to storm chasing, snow data, etc. The WCM at my regional office, asked if it was possible to push my weather station data up to CWOP/MADIS, so that they can see and have access to look at my weather station.

I have a weather station (Tempest) that I currently send to WeatherUnderground and am wondering if it is possible to take that data from there and then push it up to CWOP?

Thank you for your help.

Chad - if you use Weather Display software it can handle both uploading to  WU (even rapidfire) and CWOP and about a half dozen other sites all using its own internal cron service.

Its developer is very responsive to glitches and issues new patched versions very quickly - I bleive it costs about $58US - but worth every penny

This forum discussion might help and it looks like you need 3rd party software to send WeatherFlow Tempest data to CWOP: https://community.weatherflow.com/t/cwop-integration/5709/5

Here they mention typical 3rd party software that many users connect to their weather station. I use Weather Display but there's also Meteobridge, WeeWX.

They state that all Tempest data automatically gets into MADIS via Synoptic, which is a spinoff company from MesoWest, but I was talking to a Synoptic employee recently and they told me that very little Tempest data gets into MADIS (CWOP) because many Tempest weather stations fail the rigorous QC check.

If you compare the tempest station map (https://tempestwx.com/map/44.9028/-89.6312/12) to MADIS (https://madis-data.ncep.noaa.gov/MadisSurface/) for Wausau, WI, you'll see four stations made it through the MADIS QC but there are about 15 Tempest stations on the WeatherFlow Tempest map.
