Add a Photo section to your weather website.
« on: March 27, 2009, 07:54:13 PM »
I was previously using photobucket.com to organize and store my "weather photos" from my website.

But I was redirected to a free program which does all of this and I can incorporate into my site.

http://jalbum.net/

I spent the day messing with it and it has some great options and layouts.
I finally have a finished version on my website, just scroll down the left side and click on the "Weather & Station Photos" Link

Thanks again to Axelvold for the referral.

Looks good.  Its worth it just to follow the jalbum link and check out the "most popular" sites....  attemaphoto  portfolio for example

Sam did you watermark all your pix, or was that an option on the site software?

The program creates the watermark for you.  I feed it the pics and it does the hard work.

....I have a master photo folder of all of my digital  images, and I just merely copied them into folder used by the program.  It thumbnails, sizes, and watermarks them on it's own.  I just picked the design, told it what I wanted and did not to display.  It then compiles the jpgs, html and all for you and even uploads it to your website.  All I had to do was change the "linking" url in my menu and that was it.

I looked at Jalbum a long time ago, but it was too rough around the edges yet.

Opted for Gallery which is opensource and free:
