AWIPS II Weather Data
« on: May 21, 2015, 01:39:30 AM »
FWX Company has begun allowing public use for our EDEX servers for the AWIPS II environment. This server produces over 5,000 products a day ranging from international and domestic text products such as severe weather warnings or tropical cyclone outlooks to GRIB files from NCEP, CMC, and NOAAPort.

Below is a full list of products our server produces from our upstream sources:

Conduit - High resolution NCEP model data (GFS, GENS, RUC2, and NAM)
IDS|DDPLUS – International and domestic text data (watches, warnings, advisories, and forecasts)
NEXRAD3/FNEXRAD – Level III radar products and comosites
    GEM – CMC/Canadian Model Outputs
    NIMAGE- NOAAport satellite data
NGRID - High resolution NOAAport model outputs
UNIWISC- Satellite imagery and derived products from the Unidata/Wisconsin Broadcast
NOGAPS and COAMP model output from FNMOC

FWX Company is actively working to gain access to lightning data from the University of Albany in New York.

Due to the labor to maintane this server, we are offering this server at a reasonable $20 per month for access.

We also have AWIPS II Installation services for $30 (one time, not including data fees) for labor.

You can request an invoice by contacting Sales at http://fwx.co/contact.html or emailing me directly at keith.l@fwx.co
