Station data in a "Rejected" state
« on: March 05, 2021, 12:27:43 PM »
I have no idea what could be causing this error. When I try to contact customer support, it won't let me submit, saying I need to enter in the message field, even though I have entered a message. I get a weird dew point reading of -1.0 from time to time. I think it may be my logger software, but it has never caused this before.

 Station address is: https://www.pwsweather.com/station/pws/ROSEGARDEN
Davis Vantage Vue (Brentwood, CA KCABRENT8 and Arnold, CA KCAARNOL99)
Davis Vantage Pro2 (Lakehead, CA KCALAKEH52)
LaCrosse 2813 (retired 1/17/2018)

A 'REJECTED' status means data has been received which doesn't pass the quality control checks.  During this time the data will still be available on the station's page but not on the maps or in the Aeris API.  If the issue is corrected and data which does pass QC checks is received for about four days the station will go back into an 'ACTIVE' status.

If you're using Firefox to submit support requests there is a bug in it which can cause messages to not submit properly.  We recommend using Chrome or Edge.  Also make sure you're submitting the request at https://www.pwsweather.com/support and not one of the older links.

I am using Chrome. This is what I see after I hit Submit. I am not sure what data I am uploading would not pass the QC. I have been uploading to this site for over 4 years and have never seen this. The past 3 years, I have been using a Davis Vantage Vue. No other site I am uploading to is saying my data is bad, including CWOP (100% on all 3 checks) and MesoWest.

If it was a temporary problem the station will return to 'ACTIVE' status after about four days.  If it doesn't we can do some further checking as to which sensor is causing the issue.  These quality control checks were began around October of last year.
